It is important to tailor your CV to fit the specific requirements of the job that you are applying for. This article will address several steps on how to create a great targeted CV.

Persuasive – Showcases your professional assets and takes away the attention from any of your lesser compatible skill sets.

N.B: Be aware that the more you tweak and adjust a resume, the higher your risk of introducing an error or typo; always be careful to proofread carefully before sending your resume to an employer.

Things You Must Put On Your Targeted CV

There are five basic sections you should include in your targeted CV:
First, begin with a Profile or a short bio. Write this in the 3rd person and balance the details with being purposefully concise and to the point.

The second section to include is your Abilities or skill set. You should list 7 – 10 abilities such as describing your ability to manage a team or social media networking. Again, be purposeful in the type of content you include here.

The third section is detailing your Achievements. Include 3 – 5 accomplishments such as describing how you increased your quarterly sales quota or how you implemented a training program.

The fourth section describes your Experience and you should only include dates and the name of the company. You do not need to include job details here in a targeted CV since your skill set and work experience has already been highlighted in the 2nd and 3rd sections.
The final section is to include your Qualifications or education. Provide the degree level, name of the university, year of graduation and the area study.
