Standard Chartered to provide global financial solutions

Standard Chartered Bank has announced the inauguration of its global financial solutions aimed at meeting the financial needs of non-resident Indians, who are based in Nigeria.

The new proposition involves experienced and dedicated relationship managers in Nigeria, who will help the NRI clients in Nigeria to manage a host of premium facilities and their accounts in both Nigeria and India, while keeping them informed on every detail of their assets with Standard Chartered Bank.

According to a statement by the bank on Sunday, the relationship managers will also provide customers with a number of services such as access to world class wealth solutions, mortgage and global property financing solutions with preferred pricing privileges, global recognition and exclusive banking channels.

The programme was inaugurated at the Indian High Commission in Lagos last week.

The Managing Director, Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria, Mrs. Bola Adesola, in her speech entitled, ‘Positioning for Growth – 2014 and Beyond,’ said, “The launch of the NRI business in Nigeria marks an important milestone for us in being able to significantly enhance our service to the non-resident Indian community in Nigeria.

“By leveraging on our international expertise and product capabilities, we offer customised solutions as well as ease of convenience for their transactional needs.”

Standard Chartered Bank says it continues to balance the pursuit of its growth with a firm control of costs and risks.

The bank has a growing network of branches with 36 branches located in major cities across the country, offering a wide range of products and services in both consumer and wholesale banking. Consumer banking currently has over 70,000 customers across its segments.

Standard Chartered Bank is India’s largest international bank with 94 branches in 37 cities, a combined customer base of around two million retail customers and more than 2,000 corporate and institutional relationships.

With 1,700 offices in 68 markets, the group offers exciting and challenging international career opportunities to over 89,000 employees.
