The Scientific Products Association of Nigeria and the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology, Germany, have stressed the need for institutions in Nigeria to deploy qualitative science equipment in their operations.
SPAN, in a statement on Thursday, said this call was part of its continued effort at ensuring the supply of qualitative science equipment to institutions across the country and ensuring their maintenance.
This, SPAN said, had informed the plan to hold an exhibition and conference called Lab and Science Nigeria 2013.
The event which will hold in Lagos on December 3 to 5, will feature 14 leading German manufacturing companies of analytical and lab equipment who will present their outstanding products for exhibition and also provide after-sales service to ensure longevity and low life cycle cost.
The statement, which was signed by SPAN’s President, Mr. Gbolade Famoriyo; and Secretary Mr. Femi Ayeni, explained that the event will provide the opportunity for suppliers, experts, researchers and interested representatives of the application industries to meet the German manufacturers who will showcase latest instruments, analysis and testing technologies, as well as lab technology solutions.
While noting that It was an opportunity for the German companies to identify and meet with potential distribution partners, it added that the conference would cover all areas of the main application fields such as cooling and heating; temperature control; liquid handling; quality control; maintenance and clinical application of centrifuges.
Other areas of focus at the conference will also include volumetric glassware; HPLC applications; elemental analysis in mining; building materials and environmental samples; real time detection of interchange changes, environmental analysis, as well as CHNS analysis in petrochemical, pharmaceutical and agricultural applications, just to mention a few.
