Nigeria’s first and leading distributors of Mitsubishi and Fuso vehicles, CFAO Motors, has introduced a programme for the training of young and mature motoring Nigerians on new techniques of handling the vehicles throughout Nigeria. Coming on the heels of its commitment to the 2013 Gulder Ultimate Search, NB Plc’s adventure reality television show for young and strong Nigerians, the training initiative is designed to engage undergraduates currently on forced vacation as well as those in need of professional internship on how to drive and maintain original Mitsubishi and Fuso vehicles distributed by CFAO Motors nationwide.
Other beneficiaries of the training initiative, according to the company, are dealer technicians, drivers of major fleet customers and professional contract drivers.
The initiative, which is the first of its kind in Nigeria, is also designed to assist the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) to further reduce the alarming rate of automobile crashes on Nigerian roads.
CFAO Motors’ After Sales Manager in charge of Mitsubishi and Fuso vehicles, Mr. Avinash Ghogardare, said all trainees, technicians and drivers are introduced to the company’s automobile insurance recovery support system, its modern spare parts on-line ordering technology, an inventory of N750 million original parts, express service facilities, exclusive tyre repair centre and “S-5” After Sales application software. He said the initiative was so coined because Mitsubishi and Fuso are adjudged all over the world as the strongest and most durable vehicles; and thus preferred by drivers and technicians.
Expressing high hopes on the positive impact of the initiative on the Nigeria’s automobile industry and the motoring public in general, Ghogardare referred the idea to the unmatched professional experience of CFAO Motors gathered since 1920, which has ensured that it is the longest surviving and one of the most successful automobile companies in Nigeria today. He recalled that CFAO Motors is a foremost auto subsidiary of the CFAO Group, which is 111 years old in Nigeria this year.
He said that CFAO Motors’ internationally-trained officers, executives and technical staff are always on stand-by to warmly receive all owners and drivers of Mitsubishi and Fuso vehicles for cost-effective after sales maintenance and technical advice throughout the country. He implored motoring Nigerians to avoid unprofessional and deceptive providers of substandard after sales services and sellers of fake parts of Mitsubishi and Fuso vehicles and entrust their vehicles in CFAO Motors, who he called “the only professional Mitsubishi and Fuso people” in Nigeria.
