The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has concluded Biometric Enrolment Exercise with a warning that over 3,000 staff will lose their October pay.
FCT minister Bala Mohammed made this disclosure after meeting with the FCT Permanent Secretary, Mr John Chukwu and senior staff of the Department of Establishment & Training led by the director, Mr Nuhu Ahmed in Abuja.
The minister revealed that out of the 27,000 enrollment forms distributed to staff only 25,246 were returned after the exercise.
Mohammed disclosed that out of the 25,246 officers who participated in the data capture the salary of 3,296 officers with various observations with regards to their credentials, record of service and age discrepancies, will be stopped in October pending clarification of queries against them.
He remarked that steps will be taken for salary payroll of all Secretariats, Departments and Agencies (SDA’s) to be integrated and administered from FCT Treasury department.
The minister said that the exercise is to ensure prudent and judicious utilization of financial resources.
