Federal Government of Nigeria 2012/2013 Undergraduate and Postgraduate Scholarship Awards Details

The Honourable Minister of Education, Prof. (Mrs.) Raqayyatu Ahmed Rufai hereby invites applicants from qualified Nigerian students in Nigerian public tertiary institutions to participate in the 2012/2013 selection interviews for scholarship awards tenable in Nigeria tertiary institutions.

Eligibility

1.) Undergraduate, HND & NCE Scholarship
All applicants should be registered full–time students in their second year or above in recognized Federal and State Universities, Polytechnics, Monotechnics and Colleges of Education. They should also obtain a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.0 on a 5 point scale, or its equivalent in the previous academic year’s examinations.

2.) Postgraduate Scholarship
Applicants must be registered full–time students of recognized Federal and State owned universities and must have a minimum of second class Honors (upper division) in 1st degrees.

General Information
Duly completed application forms should be submitted at the various interview centers. Completed application forms should be accompanied with
Photocopies of: Letter of admission to the institution, Current Course Registration Form and Student Identity Card
Two passport –size photographs with name fully written at the back

Method of Application
Application forms are available online at www.fsb.gov.ng and should be filled and printed by prospective candidates for endorsement by their HOD and Registrars of their institutions.

All qualified candidates who have fully completed the prescribed application forms for the Nigerian Awards scholarship are to attend selection interviews as scheduled below.

Interview Dates
Northern States: (North East , North West & North Central ) 15th – 19th April 2013
Southern States: (South East, South West, South South) 8th -12th April 2013

Interview Venue
Federal Unity School in each State Capital including FCT. Where no Unity School in the state Capital, candidates should contact The Secretary, State Scholarship Board in that state.

Note
Application forms that are incorrectly/ incompletely filled or without the necessary documents will not be processed.
All application forms must be duly signed and stamped by the applicants HOD and Registrar.
Candidates are to attend interviews with writing materials such as pen, HB pencil and eraser.
Interview starts by 8:00am daily.
Candidates are advised to adhere strictly to the interview schedule.

    HOW CAN THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BE DISCRIMINATIVE IN THE AWARD OF HE POST GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP! SO THOSE WHO FELL BELLOW SECOND CLASS UPPER ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE OFFER.

    I THINK THE HON. MINISTER SHOULD RE-CONSIDER THIS FOR FUTURE PURPOSES.

    Is FG now employment brueau discriminating against a class of degree ..what of those that have been the one sponsoring themself 2ru university..hustling and schooling all together theereby fall bellow d 4.0..ar they not nigerian..I believe they never experience this..so they can’t picture it..
